One nifty feature in Windows 10 is its ability to install and play mobile apps and games in your PC. Yes, there are emulators out there for Android but running a mobile app or game natively in your machine achieves better experience and performance compared to playing inside an emulator. This is due to the fact that native applications can fully utilize the computing power that is available in your machine such as the CPU and your Graphics Processor. But how do I install mobile games in Windows 10 machine? Easy.
Much like any other platform out there, Windows 10 has a built-in app store. It features a number of apps and games to choose from. The Windows store contains applications that are most of the time cross-compatible with Windows Phone and a Windows 10 PC. However, there are instances wherein some applications in Windows Phone are not available in Windows 10.
One big plus of using Windows apps in your Windows 10 powered machine is that Windows 10 has the capability so sync progress across devices. Therefore, if you own both a Windows 10 machine and a Windows phone, you can sync your progress on both devices seamlessly.
How do you open the Windows store and search for applications or games?
Just like any other application in you machine, to open the store you simply click the start button and type “store”. Look for a paper bag-ish icon named Store and click it.
After the Windows Store app appears in you screen, select and type in the upper right corner box (search bar) the name of the app you want to search and click the magnifying glass icon to continue. You can also just press “Enter” and the search results will be showed.
After you have picked an app and read its details, checked the screenshots, you can install it by clicking the Install button. This will initiate the download and will automatically install the app in you PC.
Afterwards, a new icon will appear in your apps list (start menu list) which indicates that the app that you have picked in the store was successfully installed and is ready to be run. Click it and enjoy!
You can now run apps and play mobile games at your heart’s desire! By the way, you can even plug a controller in your PC for better gaming experience! Cheers!
